Virtual 40 Years of HIV/AIDS Museum

As the Creative Director and Human-Centered Design Strategist behind this profound digital storytelling experience, I spearheaded the conceptualization and execution of the project. My role involved orchestrating a harmonious blend of creativity and strategy to ensure the virtual museum authentically reflected the community's voices.

In my capacity as Creative Director, I curated a compelling narrative that paid homage to the 40-year history of HIV/AIDS in Baltimore. Through meticulous design choices, I crafted an engaging and immersive digital environment that effectively conveyed the struggles, power dynamics, identity journeys, linguistic nuances, and future aspirations intricately tied to the HIV/AIDS narrative.

Functioning as a Human-Centered Design Strategist, I placed a strong emphasis on user empathy, ensuring that the digital museum was not only visually impactful but also intuitively navigable. Centering on BIPOC oral histories, I integrated human-centric principles to amplify the voices that too often go unheard. My strategic approach prioritized public education, sexual wellness advocacy, and intergenerational dialogue, fostering a platform that goes beyond storytelling to actively engage, educate, and empower the community.

The end result is not just a digital exhibition but a testament to my commitment to using design as a tool for social impact. Through thoughtful curation and a human-centric approach, I've contributed to creating a space that not only honors the history of HIV/AIDS in Baltimore but also serves as a catalyst for community connection, education, and empathy.
